Marina has an older brother and they live with their parents in a flat apartment built with concretes and zinc roofing which comprises one parlor and a room at Cami Street, Wellington, Freetown. Both her parent are teachers, who are paid below the minimum wage.

Marina is in school and she is attending the Adulam Mission Academy Primary School and she is now in Class 5.  Marina loves doing practical arts and it is her favorite subject. She loves to draw and create beautiful pictures. Her dream is to become a medical doctor.
